Irish Mashed Potatoes

The Irish know a thing or two about cooking potatoes, to be sure. This Irish Mashed Potato recipe is sinfully creamy, probably best to stay away from it if you are concerned a about your outward direction of your stomachs growth. Ingredients:
6 - 8 large potatoes
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of thickened cream
2 tablespoons of butter
4 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
salt and pepper to taste.

Method:

    1. Peel and cut the the potatoes into 1/2 inch pieces
    2. In a pot cover the potaoes with water, add the milk and garlic and boil until done (15 - 20 minutes)
    4. Strain the potatoes and reserve 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid
    3. Return cooked garlic and potatoes to the pot and mash the potatoes with butter whilst it's still hot and gradually stir in the cream, thinning with the reserved liquied as required.
    4. Salt and pepper taste.
    5. Serve with a fat sausage or two and a glass of Guinness. Enjoy.
