If you’re cooking a roast, or maybe some steak - with a side dish of potato mash (of course!) then heres the perfect and easiest mashed potato gravy recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Juices from cooked meat
2 - 3 tablespoons self-raising flour
vegetable or beef stock
dash red wine
salt and pepper
Method:1. To the cooked meat juices add flour to and stir thorough. If still a little thin add a little more flour until it thickens. Continue stirring the whole time.
2. Add the beef stock, or vegetable – what ever you’ve got at hand.
3. If you’ve got an open bottle of wine sitting on the shelf then add a dash to the gravy 4. Add pepper and salt to taste.
