Mash Recipies

Fiery Mashed Potato

The Tabasco sauce in this mash produces a nice little kick. If you’re not a fan of spicy foods then I’d stay away from this one. On the other hand if you don’t mind a bit of spice – why don’t you try adding add a few extra teaspoons? Live on the edge a little! This mash works well when served with lettuce and garnished with a couple of tomato slices.

Ingredients:
1kg of Potatoes (2 pounds) of potatoes, cubed
1/4 Cup of full fat Mayonnaise
1/4 Cup of thickened Cream
2 Tablespoons of Chives
1 Carrot, grated
5 teaspoons of TABASCO brand name sauce

Method:
    1. Place the potatoes into your favourite pot and cover with water
    2. Add a little salt then heat to a boil over high heat.
    3. Cook for 15 minutes, the potatoes should be pricked easily with a fork
    4. Drain and then MASH the potatoes up in a separate bowl
    5. Fold in the cream, the mayonnaise, chives and grated carrot
    6. Get a glass of water ready at hand, then Enjoy!
